About Me
Lexee Torchia, OTD, OTR/L
I received my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with an emphasis in Neuroscience at Marquette University following a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.
My grandma’s journey through Alzheimer’s disease and working with children and adults with disabilities outlined the need for more inclusive spaces and education.
Through educational, clinical, and capstone experiences, my passion for accessibility, advocacy, and inclusion grew.
I have designed sensory rooms, kits, programs, and provided education in museum settings.
Through my volunteer work with the Alzheimer’s Association, I created a more accessible environment for a local Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
I presented at the Library Memory Project Symposium on sensory processing’s influence on dementia.
